Gives good cooling inside our home. Because these grasses are green, they are susceptible to pests and diseases. In this article, we will look at how to control grass-borne pests naturally.

Why pests or diseases attack grasses

Soil Wet meter

Water management is very important in growing grasses. If too little water leaves the grasses dry out, too much watering can lead to fungal and insect attacks. So, buy and keep a Soil Wet Meter to get the right amount of water.

The required amount of fertilizer

Grasses can grow normally fast. When we apply too much fertilizer, the growth required in 15 days will be achieved in 10 days and the grass will turn dark green which will attract the insects to eat the grass.

Cut the grass monthly twice

Properly covered, it will withstand plenty of adverse conditions. So you must cut the grass once in 14 days. Cut grass should be cleaned and disposed of. If left unmanaged, they can be left astray and lose the right path

Important pest and diseases in Turf

Snow Mold and Fusarium and Fusarium

Both of these are fungal diseases that commonly occur in grasses. Learn and Snow Mold will attack when soil moisture is high. This fungus causes the grasses to turn gray. Fusarium is a fungus that spreads a little faster. The grasses first turn yellow and then completely turn brown in a week without the grass. To control this, avoid giving too much compost, remove debris, and water the soil to keep it moist. Cut the grass at regular intervals. These are the best ways to control these fungi.

Lawn Mushrooms

It is normal for mushrooms to grow on grasses. Thus there is no problem with the grasses. But it means that the soil contains improperly composted materials which can affect the roots of the grass. As for mushrooms, they are spread by spores, so they should be picked when they are young. Organic decomposers can be sprayed to compost non-compostable materials.

Ants

Generally, ants do not cause any damage to the grass and only accumulate in the areas where the grasses are. But for example, Ants can protect aphids from attack by ladybirds and other predators in order to secure their supply of honeydew. Increased numbers of aphids may result in more damage to plants. However, ants do little damage to plants themselves, except by disturbing soil around plant roots and depositing it on the surface during their nest-building activities.

Armyworm

This is a worm that can severely destroy your grass. These worms can grow up to an inch a week. This worm. Pheromone traps can be used to control this. Check your lawn frequently This armyworm can even be picked up by hand if known. After the season has advanced, natural horticultural oil sprays can be used on plants showing signs of worm infestations. Multi-purpose neem oil spray is effective on various stages of the larvae as well as mites. It also prevents fungus growth. Complete coverage, including undersides of leaves and junctions with stems, is critical.
