6 Happy yellow annuals grow this year

Happy yellow annuals grow this year

Yellow is an absolutely dazzling color that is associated with happiness, positivity, energy, and enlightenment. This vibrant color is the perfect happy addition to your garden.

Yellow flowers can not stop laughing! Yellow stands out against the green leaves that most plants have.

1. Sunflower

Who can not help but smile at a beautiful, blooming sunflower? The flower itself expresses joy and happiness. The "Russian mammoth" is a common type of sunflower that grows up to 12 feet in height and is generally valued by gardeners who visit flower shows. Their seeds are a favorite of humans and wildlife. They also attract butterflies. Sunflower does not technically have a flowering zone.

2. Black-Eyed Susan

Also known as the "Denver Daisy", these stunning, creative flowers have two-colored petals that have large mid-brown eyes that are unobtrusive. These flowers are popular for cutting, placing in vases, and giving as gifts. They are very hardy flowers and thrive in zones 3-9. However, they often do not grow as thick as the previous year and appear as a perennial/annual compound.

3. Yellow Marigolds

These marigolds vary in shade from deep yellow to orange. Gardeners will appreciate the intricate details of the flowers, which often change shades as they move outward towards the edges with multiple tears of the petals on top of each other. Marigolds have a strong aroma, which is why they are often a symbol of passion, excitement, and courage. Marigold is a common choice for potted plants. They thrive in more than five zones each and are able to withstand a good amount of heat during the summer months.

4. Canary Creeper

This yellow climbing flower is a favorite for border walls or fences. It has soft, straw-like petals that collect in clusters. Unfortunately, this is only difficult in zones 9 or more. However, you will enjoy its blooms until autumn and the first frost.

5. California Poppy

These delicate, saucer-shaped flowers are a symbol of femininity and passion. They spread strongly and grow on thin, whiskey stems. They come in a variety of colors, including yellow. They open in the sun and close moderately in the evening. They are an absolutely beautiful, brilliant shade of yellow. California poppies are the state flower of California, growing wild in many parts of the West Coast. Poppies are a well-known symbol of sleep and peace due to the opium traditionally extracted from these plants. They thrive in zones 5-10 and many gardeners appreciate the fact that they are exceptionally hardy flowers.

6. Eternal flower

These bright, thick flowers have large paper-like flowers with dozens of small petals around the deep yellow eye. It is often the preferred choice for dried flowers that will last for many years. Besides yellow, this flower also comes in shades of pink and red. Eternal flowers are often made as an essential oil known for its anti-inflammatory applications. This is called helical oil. They are also commonly referred to as strawberries, and they work best in zones 8-10.
