The first answer everyone can ask who is a best friend to the farmer is the earthworm. Earthworm production is the most profitable industry at a low cost in agro-based industries. It costs 4 to 6 rupees to produce a kilo of earthworm and 10 to 15 rupees per kilo in the market. Generally, there are two methods of making compost which is hot and cold. The Gold method involves putting a lid on a hole or tub to hold the food we use daily, such as vegetables and their skins, fruits, coffee powder, and eggshells. But it can be well composted for at least a year.




Next up is Hot Time. This method compost household waste products with micro-organisms. This requires good aeration of decomposing water. It takes three to 4 months for compost to form in this manner. Apart from these two methods, the third method is to make earthworm compost with earthworms. Homemade vegetable



We can use home-grown vegetables, fruits mainly dried leaves and onion skins, homemade newspapers, eggshells, distilled coffee powder, coconut fiber, etc. These can not be used directly. Bins for making vermicompost at home are available on the bin website. Then the earthworms can be left in it.



If you contact the nearest farm or the farm office next to you, they will tell you where to find the earthworms you need. The earthworm will be ready within 60 days of purchase. Make sure you have the right amount of moisture in your earthworm tank and generally you can tell by its smell that the earthworm is ready. Then you can use it for your garden
