Get Rid of House Flies in your home garden

Natural Ways to Get Rid of House Flies

Along with ants, wasps, and mosquitoes, house flies are one of the most annoying insect pests in summer. (Although you really have to learn to love wasps.) When you wake up in your personal space, house flies will crawl around your head, crawling on your tablets and food preparation surfaces, you take a sample of the freshly made rug and then use your stick-like tongue to sweat oily skin and salt to your taste. All of these may not be so bad, but houseflies are small flying vectors that carry germs and can spread foodborne illnesses such as E. coli and diarrhea.

Although they play an important environmental role in breaking down and recycling organic matter, house flies come into regular contact with some pretty nasty materials. They spend most of their lives eating, living, and breeding on rotting food, animal carcasses, and feces.

How to get rid of house flies naturally

The noise of one or two house flies around your house does not seem like a big deal, but only one woman finds her way into the house and creates a sudden influx of house flies. Female flies, which lay about 500 eggs throughout their short, 30-day lifespan, will quickly deposit 75 to 150 eggs per shot, in hot, dark, and wet organic matter. When conditions are right, the swarm of flies will be permanent with subsequent generations living in your home throughout the summer. Aside from sticking gaps and holes in doors, windows, and screens, what can you do to ensure that a few flies do not turn into a full-scale invasion?

1. Grow House Fly repellents

The strong aroma of some herbs can help repel pests. Place these herbs in pots in your indoor windows, porch, patio, and other outdoor areas.

Lemon balm
Mint
Rosemary
Bay laurel
Lavender
Cat

Basil

2. Keep carnivorous plants

Carnivorous plants attract flying and crawling insects with their extinction, attracting and capturing prey with modified leaves that can then be digested. Drawing on them with the sweet smell of nectar, this unusual and attractive sequence of plants uses a variety of methods to trap bugs. Venus flytrap catches insects in its jaws, pitcher plants have deep cups that act as hazards, and sundews grow into long and sticky tents that act as glue traps. These plants, along with other problematic insects such as fungus mosquitoes, fruit flies, mosquitoes, ants, and beetles, will definitely do their part in reducing the number of house flies. To keep carnivorous plants happy indoors, you need to reflect on the swamps where they come from. That means plenty of light and moisture, as well as low-nutrient soil that you don’t need to fertilize.

3. Spray with cayenne pepper

Another way to prevent house flies from darkening your door is to mix a repellent spray with cayenne pepper. Cain is very annoying to house flies and other unpleasant insects. Spray insect repellent on entrances, windows, and other places.

To Cain Pepper Spray:

From your spice rack to the dried cayenne pepper, add 2 tablespoons of powder per gallon of water.

To use fresh umbrella chili, chop in half a cup and soak in 2 cups of water.

If you have a hot sauce based on cayenne in your hand, stir in 2 tablespoons with 2 cups of water.

4. Use Citrus Peels

House flies - ants, flies, cockroaches, silverfish, mosquitoes, and many other insects - hate the smell of citrus oils. The skins and flavors of oranges, lemons, limes, grapes, and other citrus fruits contain limonene, which kills with a powerful insect repellent. Citrus peels can be placed around the garden, rubbed on the skin, or placed near windows and entrances. Press the skin each time to release more oils. Once the skins are dry replace them with new ones. Alternatively, boil the skin in water for 5 minutes and spray with citrus oil. Remove from heat and let the mixture soak for 24 hours. Drain the skins and transfer the liquid to a spray bottle.

5. Build flying traps

It's easy to make your own flying traps from slightly modified soda bottles. Cut off the top third of the bottle. Fill the bottom with sugar water or spoiled wine, a bubble of honey, or some other piece of ripe fruit. Remove the cap from the top and tie the nest at the bottom of the bottle, upside down, to create a funnel. House flies are drawn to the attractor through the funnel, but cannot escape once inside.

6. Learn proper swatting technique

One of the most annoying qualities of a house bird is how easily it can avoid attempts to stop it with a fly swatter or rolled newspaper. This is the meaning of jokes. The reason they are so good at fooling us is that house flies process visual information seven times faster than us. To fly, humans move slowly. But according to the latest fly-swatting science, the most successful technique is to target your strike just before the current level of the fly. No matter what you do, the fly is going to see your swatter. But by anticipating the movement, you have a better chance of landing your vote.

7. Hang up the fly paper

It may be primitive (and not very noticeable when built throughout the house) but flying tape is still a very effective way to control house flies - especially when they land in a crowd. Flypaper is covered with a sweet and sticky substance that helps to pull them inside. Any fly that crashes into the paper will stick to that spot. When the tape becomes more and more complicated by flies, throw it away and replace it with a new roll.

8. Turn on house flies with light

The most humane approach is to fly out by showing the way to those annoying houses. This works best when most flies are in the same room. On a bright and sunny day, close the blinds to darken the room as much as possible. Leave a small gap in a window that will allow light. Open the window and pop the screen out. House flies go towards the light and happily leave the house by themselves.

9. Drain your kitchen compost frequently

The most favorite place to meet the laying criteria of female house flies in the kitchen compost bin. To prevent house flies from finding refuge in rotting food, use one with a tight-fitting lid and empty it in an outdoor pile every day or two.

10. Clean up when you go

Wipe off leaks immediately and do not leave dirty dishes and glasses overnight. Cover the trash can and take the bag out when it is full. Take and rinse pet food bowls after they have finished eating, especially if it is a wet food item. And if you talk about pets, dispose of their waste immediately. The cat litter box is the perfect place for fly eggs in the house.

11. Turn off the Porsche Light

All kinds of insects are inevitably drawn to the light. If possible, turn off your outdoor lights at night so that flies and other bugs do not enter your home.
