Natural insect repellents that can be made in our home

 Natural insect homemade repellents

If the use of an insecticide can completely destroy the pests, we will have to spray again to destroy the pests that escape from it, and in doing so the insects will become resistant and destructive. Frequent spraying of pesticides like this will make the soil sterile, there will be no beneficial organisms, the environment will be affected and we who eat the resulting vegetables will be harmed. This also applies to home and terrace gardening. To cope with all this we can switch to organic farming and use natural pesticides. In this article, we will look at how to easily make insect repellent with home-made ingredients,

Pests such as insects can be extremely irritating around the home and garden. Some people choose to apply pesticides, chemicals which kill unwanted visitors, but pesticides can have a negative impact on the health of plants, humans, other animals, and the environment. As a result, some consumers choose to use natural pesticides derived from plant extracts. Many of these natural pesticides are just as effective as their chemical counterparts, but they are far less toxic. Non-harmful pesticides are also an important part of organic and natural gardening.

Neem leaf

The first thing that appears to us as a natural insect repellent is a birch, which is used medically and to repel insects and worms. It does not cause any harm to animals, birds, or plants. There are three ways to make this pesticide. You can put one tip of neem leaf in water and spray it on the plants.

Saline solution

This saline solution is a low-cost insect repellent. It is best to mix salt in a bucket of water and spray it on your garden plants (use only for spraying and do not forget to pour over the plant)

Onion-Garlic solution

Chop the onion and garlic and put in a bowl and add water. Add even a little bit of pepper and set aside in the morning. Insect repellent will be ready in the evening. Its smell does not keep insects away from plants.

Eucalyptus oil

The dense smell of this oil repels insects. Mix eucalyptus oil with soap and water. Do it once a week to get good results

Marigold flower

This flower contains a natural chemical called pyrethrum. When sprayed with neem solution it prevents the sexual part of the insects from laying eggs but when sprayed with this marigold flower solution it attacks the nervous system and kills insects or worms immediately. Take dried marigold flowers, boil them in water for 20 minutes, and then spray them in a bottle. Mixing neem oil with this and spraying will give good results.
